You’re Hemming What?

We are at a tailor/dry cleaner waiting for Mrs. Brownman to get a dress fitted. The family in front of us is waiting as their 2 children get their pants measured for tailor. Oh not just pants. JEANS. Clearly these were new jeans because the tags were still on them.

Now why would you

A) hem jeans
B) hem the bottom of jeans for young children that are growing
C) not just return, exchange, or not buy the jeans in the first place? Is it not more pricey to pay money to fix already purchased jeans?

Do you really lose receipts that fast this day in age? Weird!
