VMA’s Were “Aight”

Did I ever mention how horse-like Sarah Jessica Parker looks? Whoever taps that must have been on Broadway one point in his life…

Ok, sorry. Focus Brownman. Your 2-person fan base depends on it.

Did you watch the highly advertised Video Music Awards on the need-to-change-its-name-to-LTV(lame TV) MTV channel this past Sunday? I’m sure you caught pieces during the week of random replays. I can’t remember the last time these things were good. And Justin Beiber or Usher didn’t make it any better.

I don’t want to ramble on, but I feel the host Chelsea Handler wasn’t as bad as the Times and others claim. Do you not remember Azis Azaria? Russell Brand? That weird P. Diddy thing from Miami? They need to focus on the real horror which is the music: I haven’t seen half of these videos nominated and something tells me the artists weren’t nominated for their lame ass videos in the first place.

I feel so old when I start complaining about things like the music “these days” or the “crap people wear”…am I wrong? Or am I victim to old aging?

  1. As one of the 2 loyal readers and contributors of this blog, I think you are getting old my friend. Not even 30 and already disliking music and certain fashion trends. If this makes you happy, then be it, but make sure you accept that you are OLD. If you don’t accept that your OLD, well my friend, you won’t be a cool OLD person. Very very very OLD person. So to sum it up, you are OLD.

  2. I never really understood the VMAs. Aren’t we supposed to be judging the video and not the music? And if that’s the case shouldn’t the director get the award and not the artist? Either way some lame ass performances this year, but I thought Chelsea was a decent host.

  3. Sarah Jessica Parker is married to Matthew Broderick who, when not doing movies, frequently does Broadway. (In fact, he was nominated for a Tony award when he did The Producers.) So yes, yes, you are correct sir.
